Last week, I met Anne and friends in Boulder after my conversational spanish class. Yup, I'm taking a spanish class on Tuesday nights at CU. Living with Pam, a bilingual social worker, has inspired me to work on my Spanish skills. Anywho, met Anne at Happy Noodle, a bar/restaurant in Boulder that serves great apps and cocktails. I was highly impressed by the mixologist who took great care in making our drinks. Check out all the condiments they have to make the delicious beverages! Cool place, great drinks, but we were all suprised with the bill...$12 drinks :/ Live and learn!

Powder in Breckenridge
Suzie, Anne, and I survived the T-bar and look as if we are about to climb Everest ;)
We skied Breckenridge on Saturday. After waking up at 5:30 am and leaving Boulder at 6:30 am, we still didn't ski a run until around 11. Traffic was horrible on I-70 with all the natives rushing to ski...but we got a great day in and got to ski some powder. I have now skied 12 days this season which is a lot to a Texan like myself. My goal is to get 20 days so I'm more than half way there. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Visited a great cupcake shop in Denver on Friday called The Shoppe. Check out their website at http://www.theshoppedenver.com/ Our favorite was surprisingly the Banana Nutella.

The Market
Anne and I both also enjoyed a cute local market near the mountain at Steamboat. We both went there 3 times in one day!! Twice separately! It is called the Market, but at times referred to as the Markup. Great coffee, muffins, and snacks! I highly recommend the vintage muffins and quiche w/ no crust. They are a day old and half off, but just as delicious! With Webb's recipe, I'm going to attempt to make the quiche w/ no crust this weekend. Here Tim and I are Sunday morning....my 4th trip in two days!
Olympians in Steamboat
Winter Olympians heading to Vancouver
The Steamboat Olympic torch
Last weekend I again visited my uncle and aunt in Steamboat Springs. On Friday night, there was an Olympian sendoff party. To learn more visit http://www.steamboatpilot.com/news/2010/feb/06/thousands-crowd-downtown-send-olympians-vancouver/ Steamboat is the home to more Olympians than any other town in the United States. It was fun to send them off and also very cold! Saturday I learned lots of skiing tips from my uncle. Thanks again Webb and Susan!

Denver Nuggets
So...I am temped for an accounting firm in Boulder. I learned that data entry is not my cup of tea. But...they offered me two tickets to the Nuggets game on Monday night!!! Hours and hours of data entry was totally worth box tickets to a pro bball game! They won in overtime against the Kings. Very exciting! Here Pam and I are enjoying the game!
