Roomies

So, I have been getting complaints that I'm not updating often enough to keep my readers. Thanks Stinks for keeping me on my toes! I'm busy packing, job hunting, etc...all of which is not too exciting. One thing that I can offer is http://www.goop.com/. It's another great blog created by Gwyneth Paltrow. I recommend signing up for the weekly newsletter. She has Thurs. posts about topics of her choosing ranging from fashion, places to visit, recipes, etc. Check it out! I wanted to also make a shout out to my former roomie, Toast. I love you and I miss you already. From the beginning to the end, it was greatness!

Garage Sale

Deen and I garage saled it this weekend. It was a total success! Wow, but let me just tell you, it takes work and I'm horrible at bargaining. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Home

I came back to Ft. Worth to visit Deen's first photography showing and my birthday. Deener did an amazing job and sold every photo!!! She's kind of a big deal :) Great times with my very best friends. If you haven't already heard the news, I've decided to make the move to Denver...big decision!! I will miss Ft. Worth sooo much, but the mountains have been calling me for many years. I am home for the month of May to pack up. I thankfully have rented out my home and found a nice place in Denver. Everyone put out good vibes for the job hunt! I have gotten great reviews from the blog posts, so will continue to blog as long as I continue to hear people are checking it out. I may make shift from travel news to something else...haven't decided yet. Thanks for everyone's support!!!

Goofy Foot Surf School

Graduation!!!

Graduation Post Party
Anne and I attempted to surf yesterday morning. It was so fun!! We both got up on the surfboard almost every attempt. We had a great instructor who taught us the basics...it was gnarly..that's surf terminology :).

Sunset Cruise

Thursday night we went on a Sunset Cruise with the company Trilogy...I highly recommend Trilogy's activities over other aquatic companies if you are heading to Maui anytime in the near future. Great pupus (appetizers in Hawaii), drinks, sunset, and staff. Here Anne and I are relaxing on the boat...we had a tough day...The highlight was a humpback whale sighting. They were jumping in the ocean about 400 ft away from us!! It is rare to see them at this time of year because they have usually migrated to Alaska. I was very excited! We then enjoyed dinner at Leilani's ocean side. I had a great salad and Hawaiian bean soup. Desert was the infamous Kimo's Hula pie which is ice cream, fudge, cookie crumb crust, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, and all around deliciousness. We split it b/w 4 people which shows you that it is quite large.

General Store

Enjoyed lunch at the Honolua store the other day...it's a locals hangout :). It's a market with a deli in the back..super cute. Anywho, I look a little rough in this picture because we had just completed a 7 mile hike and stopped for a quick bite before beach time. Anne out ordered me with a delicious salad. I tried the hamburger which was good, but not the best. I am losing track of time here and the other day said "Tomorrow's Friday? What happened to Thursday??" Apparently that's what happens on the islands :).
